Soft Landing
After a day-long trip from the K we landed in the BK on Wednesday night and for the first time in 3 years we came home. Home to our very own place where we staying for a few weeks while the renters are out of town. We hit the window in between renters and are here to get it in with the renovations and the real estate agent, the storage space and and the shipping.
The place is in pretty good shape, considering it's been three years renting to 20 year old sisters. Although there is some aftermath to deal with...
Outside it's hot whether you're in Bklyn or the city, where we met EM for a quick coffee before she jetted back to the midwest.
Beautiful tattoos girl let me take her picture.

The Ills
What started off as a collection of footage of friends talking became - on the trans-continental flight over here - a little love letter to deutschland written just in time to hit the ground in the US.
It's been a year. A long year, an intense year, a crazy hectic year filled with precious moments like these....wait, did I just write 'precious moments'? OMG. Let's back it up for a second. I'll say it like this: every time it got hard, something else cracked it open, and most of the time it was one of you, telling me something, gesturing beautifully. Or cooking a swahili breakfast or explaining why the people of austria are mystical or making friends with the locals or pretending to wake up early and go to the nightclub instead of staying up all night.
The ills of the world, they can get you down, but then you get back up.
